The Legacy Audio i·V7 at $9,000 delivers seven channels of 610-watt ICEedge amplification for immersive home theater installations. A 7.0 speaker system (or a 5.2 configuration with dual subwoofer channels) is powered from a single chassis, simplifying equipment racks and ensuring channel-to-channel consistency that multi-amplifier setups can't guarantee.
Seven-channel systems are increasingly common as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X content becomes standard. The front three channels, two side surrounds, and two rear surrounds create a fully enveloping sound field that places the listener inside the movie rather than in front of it. The i·V7 provides the amplification backbone for this experience with power to spare.
Like every i·V amplifier, the i·V7 uses ICEedge modules with a proven track record of reliability. Class D amplification has no tubes to replace, no bias adjustments to drift, and generates minimal heat that would stress internal components over time.
